The Autoreflex TC, Konica's 1976 entry-level SLR, succeeded the A3 with a compact design, reflecting industry trends. Utilizing the Konica Bayonet Mount II (AR bayonet or K/AR mount), an adapter allowed limited use of early mount Konica lenses. The K/AR mount's short 40.5mm flange focal distance enabled easy adaptation to lenses from various manufacturers.
